My son spends a lot of time playing with these Super Hero toys that my nephew gave him. They are little figurines of characters like Spiderman, Superman, the Hulk, etc. It is amusing to me that T spends so much time with them, considering that he is not allowed to watch any of the Super Hero shows yet.
I feel that he discusses the actions of the Super Heroes with his peers at pre-school. He frequently tells me about the kinds of things that Super Heroes do. For example, "Spiderman can climb up tall buildings... Can I watch Spiderman on tv?"
me-"No. That's great he can climb though."
Tonight he said, "Spiderman would give somebody back their hand if they lost their hand...Can I watch Spiderman on tv?"
me-"No. How would he know whose hand it was?"
T says, with total confidence, "He would look around to see who was missing a hand and then he would look to see if the hand skins matched."
Perhaps my son is not ready to watch the Super Hero shows on tv, but I bet he could handle a little of the show, "Bones."
