Wedding Photos

In an act of ultimate procrastination, I had avoided organizing and framing many of the photos from our wedding. However, the framing bug bit me today as I was dropping off an item to be framed at Hobby Lobby.
I re-visited the photos of our wedding and thought of some unique ways to frame them.
AND then I thought, I'll stick some on the blog too! Genius.
AND this mad dash to organize and frame our wedding photos may be helping me to put off doing the taxes, in yet another, act of ultimate procrastination.

Engineering School Dropout

This is not the proper way to play with trains.

Socks or Lack Thereof

Either M has learned to take off her socks (and place them on her own chest AND behind her head), never leaving a sock on if it is out of a shoe or other sock-entrapment-device for over 2.3 seconds,
Or she has some help from her toddler brother, who will not leave a sock on, he will not leave one on, not even for a millisecond. No socks for him, no socks for her.

Hair Tie

Thank you to Miss Annie, who expertly tied M's hair up in a pony tail.

Army Times

Our second weekend drill in March is coming up tomorrow and Sunday. While I've enjoyed many of the experiences I've been able to have through the military, and know that I would be a far different person (and lesser person) today if I had not joined the Army, I am eager to see the end of my Army times. So the countdown begins...
11 more months to go.

Interaction II (by T)

You should be able to click on the photo to view it larger.

I help M in many, many ways. See how I put my block there for her to play with? I also wad up blankets and set them on her in a big pile.

I scatter legos around her too. I do keep all the yellow ones for myself though.

I can politely ignore her poor choice of hairstyles...

And hold an intelligent discourse with her about important matters like the upcoming election.

Although I have to laugh at who she thinks will come out ahead. HA! Silly baby.

I like to play with Miss M. See how thrilled she looks?

I like it when she and I have our photo taken together. I always make sure that we are both presentable. I'm quite careful with her.

Hmm.
She seems upset. I help her with her pacifier when she's upset. I just don't know why she would be crying.

I'M still okay though. Hahahahahaha!

Finally she's okay too. Whew!

Before J was 12...

He was 11, and already a skilled craftsman.

Okay, I forgot to take pictures at his birthday party. BUT, I did make him the double layer birthday cookie with fudge frosting in the center.

We have priorities here; and food will always come first.

This I Believe: 1

Similar to the NPR broadcasts only in title...

In this, a first in a series of posts, I am going to write about something that I believe to be true. It may be my mother told me that it was true; it may be that I read it on the Internet; it may be something that I saw with my own eyes, but somehow, somewhere, I've picked it up along the way. Dispute or support the reality, likelihood, or feasibility of it in your comments.

And No Fair researching the matter before you come to the table. That just wouldn't be as much fun.
I'm a librarian. I can find information on anything and twice, but I'd like to hear about your gut instinct.

This I believe:

I believe that a boy I grew up with had a dot of blue permanent marker on his chin for quite some time. Longer than a year...
