Did I mention that my daughter is potty-trained now? It happened a while ago.
For a time, it seemed like she was NEVER going to use the bathroom in a consistent manner. There was even talk of keeping her in the toddler room rather than moving her up to the 3s, because of her atrocious potty skillz.
During the training period I would give her stickers or pieces of candy, or just say, "Great job!". None of this was consistent. However, little by little, for whatever reasons, the potty training has been completed. Potty training is in the past.
Today, M comes bounding up the stairs, out of nowhere. "I'd like a piece of candy..." Then her voice lowered down to a whisper. "Whisper, whisper, whisper."
"What?" I said.
Loudly and clearly now, she states, "I went potty and I want a piece of candy. Candy! I pooped
last night and I want some candy now."
